The misunderstanding is that the rules were somehow changed for Hillary. As I understand it, those superdelegates were always in place in the Democratic primaries. They just hadn’t even been relevant before this year. But the Democratic party’s internal processes for picking a candidate are not subject to Constitutional scrutiny, nor governed by Constitutional processes.
